Each wine is tasted several times over the years, as its profile evolves with time. Thus, an initial score of 90 to 94/100 can improve during a subsequent tasting, revealing all the complexity and potential of the vintage.
Experts assign their ratings according to precise scales, most often out of 100 points (or sometimes out of 20). On average, recognized grand crus obtain scores between 90 and 100, reflecting their exceptional quality and aging potential.
