Jean-Marc Quarin January - 2001
Jean-Marc Quarin
Bordeaux red color. Medium to good intensity. Evolved. Medium intensity nose. Fruity. Very ripe. Surprising. Still a note of varnish. On swirling too much varnish behind the note of plum in alcohol. The wine presents a good balance in the opening and mid-palate, but it finishes more simply in the finish and drying. However, the tannin here is less grainy than on the previous ones. Drinkable.

Château Lascombes
Château Lascombes

Château Lascombes is a wine estate located in Margaux, Gironde. In the Médoc AOC, it is classified as a Second Growth in the official 1855 Bordeaux wine classification.

The 50 hectares of Château Lascombes vineyard (55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot) benefit from deep gravel terroirs. Every year, Château Lascombes estate practices green harvesting to improve the quality of the wines, achieving greater concentration. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with malolactic fermentation of Merlots in barrels. The wine is aged for 18 months in 60% new oak barrels, followed by egg white fining.
