Jean-Marc Quarin October - 2014
Jean-Marc Quarin
Dark color, of normal intensity. Fruity nose, fresh and slightly cool. Very fruity palate, smooth and flavorful, with taste, character and even body. It's good. Blend: 62% cabernet sauvignon, 35% merlot, 3% cabernet franc.

Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
An elegant, dark ruby/purple-tinged effort displaying notes of tobacco smoke intermixed with sweet currant, cherry, and some toast, this medium-bodied wine has the hallmark purity married graciously with nicely concentrated fruit. The tannins are sweet but present and give definition to this well-made Pessac-Leognan. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2016.

Château Haut Bailly
Château Haut Bailly

Château Haut-Bailly is a Bordeaux wine estate that produces classified growths from Graves in the Pessac Léognan AOC.

Haut Bailly is one of the rare Graves estates that produces only red wine.

In 1998, the Sanders family sold the vineyard to American banker Bob Wilmers, but Véronique Sanders continues to manage it. Gentle, almost discreet tannins, a delicate balance, "without anything too much" as Jean Sanders likes to say, define the incomparable Haut Bailly style. Nothing ostentatious in this wine that embodies Bordeaux finesse.
