Just like all the old Guigal Hermitage, this performed really well in blind tastings. Round and substantial mouthfeel, would likely develop further with more age. Liked this a lot.

The Domaine E. Guigal stands as one of the absolute references of the Rhône Valley, both northern and southern. Founded in 1946 in Ampuis by Étienne Guigal, the family estate has built its reputation on an exacting interpretation of terroirs and a constant pursuit of excellence. Historically based in Ampuis, Maison Guigal vinifies and ages in its cellars all the great northern Rhône appellations, including Côte-Rôtie, Condrieu, Hermitage, Saint-Joseph and Crozes-Hermitage.
