Château Clos de l'Oratoire is a Bordeaux wine estate located in the Saint Emilion commune. The vineyard covers an area of 11 hectares and is situated on the northeastern slope of Saint-Emilion. It features a sandy subsoil layer and clay subsoil. The terroir of Clos de l'Oratoire is particularly well-suited for Merlot (90%), Cabernet Franc (5%), and Cabernet Sauvignon (5%) grape varieties. Merlot gives the wine roundness and opulence. Cabernet Franc provides power, aromatic complexity, and excellent length on the palate. Clos de l'Oratoire is a Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé.

The best vintages to look for are 1982, 1988, and 1989. Finally, we recommend the Clos de l'Oratoire 1990, 2003, and Clos de l'Oratoire 2005, which are remarkable.
