Château La Croix de Gay is a Bordeaux wine estate located on the high terrace of Pomerol, just a few hundred meters from Pétrus and L'Evangile. The vineyard has an average area of 10 hectares and extends over clay-gravel and sandy-gravel soils with iron hardpan subsoil. The two grape varieties grown there are Merlot (95%) and Cabernet Franc (5%).
Among the estate's finest achievements, the vintages to favor are 1945, 1947, the 1961 vintage and 1966. We also recommend Château Croix de Gay 1990, Croix de Gay 1995 and Croix de Gay 2009.

Chantal Lebreton took over from her father Noël Raynaud, who passed away after the 1997 harvest. Supported by her mother and brother, Dr. Alain Raynaud (Château Quinault), she continues a long family tradition dating back to the 15th century... An enthusiastic winemaker, she has undertaken significant selection efforts in the vineyards. La Croix de Gay has confirmed clear progress in recent vintages, gaining in density.
