Château Sigalas Rabaud is a wine estate in the Bordeaux region located in Bommes in Gironde. In AOC Sauternes, it is classified as premier grand cru of Sauternes in the official classification of Bordeaux wines of 1855. Located next to Châteaux Lafaurie Peyraguey or Rayne Vigneau, the vineyard has an area of 14.25 hectares in one piece on the terraces of Sauternes. The average age of the vines is 40 years and the soils are mainly Graves on clay on the upper part and clay-sand-gravel on the hillside. The grape varieties harvested there are Semillon (85%), Sauvignon (14%) and Muscadelle (1%). In addition to its classified growth, the estate produces a second sweet wine 'Le Lieutenant de Sigalas'.
Among the Château's greatest successes, we recommend the 1929 and 1950 vintages, the Sigalas Rabaud 1959, 1961 and the Château Sigalas Rabaud 1998.

The name of Château Sigalas-Rabaud comes from its first owners. Indeed, the Rabaud family and then the Sigalas family managed the estate. However, Château Sigalas-Rabaud is now owned by the de Lambert family (descendants of the Sigalas family). The Château is becoming more involved in environmental causes by cultivating its vines using sustainable farming practices.
The Château doesn't only produce sweet white wines, a single-varietal dry white wine is produced at the estate "La Sémillante de Sigalas" as well as its second dry white wine "Les Demoiselles de Sigalas". Finally, the estate produces a rather audacious wine, "Le 5 Sans Soufre Ajouté de Sigalas". This wine is made from the same terroir as the classified growth and is produced without added sulfur.
