The -99 Frederic Emile has a gorgeous bouquet with lime leaf, a hint of guava, passion fruit and white peach with wonderful definition and intensity. The palate is medium-bodied with a very sensual, slightly viscous entry with superb acidity. It is imbued with scintillating delineation with an understated finish that will surely evolve over 20-30 years in style. Such panache!

Gismondi on Wine : Cuvée Frédéric Émile is Trimbach's flagship wine. Look for a buttery cream, cement, slate-y, lime rind and floral aromas. Very dry, round and elegant but somewhat austere. Very similar flavours of slate, mineral, lime and cream with some buttery quince notes. Sophisticated style but could use more fruit to entice.
