Robert PARKER - The Wine Advocate
This was the breakthrough vintage for this fabulous terroir that had been under-exploited for so many years. A collaboration between Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt, this medium to full-bodied, pure blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc reveals aromas reminiscent of a liqueur of crushed rocks, black currants, and raspberries. The tannins are still present, and the wine is firmer than I expected, but it is loaded. Made in a distinctive, singular, elegant style, it will be even better in 5-6 years, and should last for two decades thereafter - longer than I originally predicted.

This vintage vinified by Stéphane Derenoncourt shows the full potential of the Bellevue terroir. Delicate, floral bouquet and great distinction in the tannins. This bottle is already a delight.

Jeff Leve - The Wine Cellar Insider
Smoke, mocha, herbs, plums, cherries, licorice and wild herbs create the nose. On the palate, the wine is soft, medium bodied and elegant, with a dark chocolate and fresh plum finish. Splash decanted and poured, this is drinking at its peak. The wine softened in the glass after an hour or so, but it did not gain additional complexities and does not warrant further aging. I'd drink any remaining bottles over the next decade.

Impressive fruit in this wine, with crushed plums and spices. Full- to medium-bodied, with super silky tannins and a long, caressing finish. A refined and beautiful wine. Best after 2008.
